This manual is published in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA), and explains how to request access to records held by Annerkant Venue.

Last updated 2026-07-30 (version 1)

Particulars of the body

Annerkant Venue, Annerkant plaas, Kirkwood, Sundays River Valley, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Postal enquiries and requests may be sent to info@annerkantvenue.co.za, telephone 082 308 7581.

Requests are received by our information office at info@annerkantvenue.co.za. The formal designation and registration of the Information Officer and any Deputy Information Officer with the Information Regulator is being finalised; this manual will be updated with those details once confirmed.

Guide by the Information Regulator

A guide on how to use PAIA is available from the Information Regulator of South Africa in each official language, from inforegulator.org.za, or by contacting the Regulator at PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

Records held

Records held by the venue include enquiry and booking correspondence, event schedules, supplier and contractor records, photographs of events, financial and tax records, and website and system records. Some records are automatically available on this website, such as the information published on our public pages.

How to make a request

Submit a written request using the prescribed PAIA form, or use the request form on our Data Requests page and we will send you the prescribed form. State the record you need, the form of access you prefer, your contact details, and, where the request is for the exercise or protection of a right, which right is involved.

We will respond within 30 days of receiving a complete request. That period may be extended in the circumstances allowed by PAIA, and we will tell you in writing if it is.

Fees

A request fee and access fee may be payable in the amounts prescribed under PAIA. We will tell you what is payable before processing the request. Personal requesters asking for their own records are not charged a request fee.

Grounds for refusal

Access may be refused on the grounds set out in PAIA, including the protection of another person's privacy, commercially sensitive information, legally privileged records, and information supplied in confidence. If we refuse, we will give reasons and explain the remedies available to you.

Remedies

If you are dissatisfied with our decision you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za, or apply to a court in the circumstances permitted by PAIA.

Personal information and POPIA

The categories of personal information we process, the purposes, recipients and retention periods are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this manual.
